Russell is “off on another journey”.
Survived by his loving wife Vera (nee Reed) of Iron Bridge. Father of Sharon Devine, Kyla Clearwater, Myles Clearwater (Connie), Krista McDonald (Charlie) and Kim Robitaille (Gilbert). Proud grandfather and great grandfather. Oldest brother of Evangeline (Bunny), Wayne and the late Carol, late Brian and late James. Best friend of Marcel Chenier. Will be missed dearly by Gypsy Girl. Fondly remembered by his comrades at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #189 also Branches #564 and #76.
Russell was a very proud veteran who served his country and promoted Canadian patriotism.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #189, 27 Hawkins Street, Blind River on Sunday, August 21, 2022 beginning at 1pm. Luncheon will be served in the lounge after services.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Royal Canadian Legion Branch #189 or the Algoma Manor Charitable Foundation.
