It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Richard Cada, 52, on January 23 2022, after he succumbed to injuries following a hit and run in Toronto, ON. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Pamela Cada, and his older brother, Paul Anthony Cada. Richard is survived by his five children, Dennis, Erica, Taylor, Krista, Dylan, and his three granddaughters, Alora, Melody and Sophia. He will be missed dearly by his siblings, Mike, Theresa (Bob), Connie (Ted), Joe (Cathy), Ron (Rachel), Matt, Dave (Deanna), Don (Sandra), and Chuck (Katie), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was born, June 9 1969, in the small town of Blind River, ON., and grew up surrounded by his large family near Mississauga First Nation, to which he was a member. Richard moved to Toronto as a young adult becoming a tree arborist and working alongside his brothers. He was a free spirited and easy-going person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and socializing with friends and family. Richard had a great sense of humour and those in his presence were often found smiling and laughing with him.

Richard will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Mississauga First Nation Community Hall, 154 Village Road, Blind River on Friday, February 4, 2022 between the hours of 12pm and 4pm. COVID restrictions in place with mandatory masks, social distancing, hand washing and contact tracing.
