Born on October 28, 1932, she passed away suddenly at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Friday January 12, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Lelio Buratti. Loving mother of Maria Punkkinen (Alvin) of Walford, Peter Buratti (Darlene) of Val Caron and Franco Buratti (Marianne) of Cobourg. Special Nonna of Tyler Punkkinen (Julie), Trevor Punkkinen (Wendi), Leslie Crawford (Elliot), Carlo Buratti, Isabella Buratti and Rowan Buratti. Dear sister of Domenico Papili (Agnese) and Franco Papili (Patrizia), both of Italy. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many special godchildren. She will be sadly missed by many family members and friends, both in Canada and in Italy. Visitation will be held at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave) on Thursday January 18 from from 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 19, 2018 at 1 pm from Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Father Anthony Man-Song-Hing officiating. Interment to take place at a later date in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Memorial contributions to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake would be appreciated by the family.
