Janet Ann Boyer, born February 14, 1954 passed away suddenly October 17, 2023 in Keswick, Ontario.
Janet was born in Blind River, Ontario to Emma and Joseph Boyer and was the youngest of their nine children. She has joyfully reunited with her parents and her siblings; Peggy Besiallon, Bernice Moreau, Kenneth Boyer, Kathleen Boyer, Valda Blake, Harold Boyer, Karen Boyer and her beloved twin sister, Janice Boyer. Also waiting to welcome her with love is her special grandson, Derrick Thomas Lofstrom.
Janet leaves behind her brothers Brian Miley and Allan Miley. Her three daughters, Janice Boyer, Denise Lofstrom (Derrick) and Rachel Boyer (Kyle), her beloved grandchildren Mercedes, Sean, Robert, Nadine, Denise, Kathleen, Andrew, Lawrence, Danial and David and great-grandchildren Patrick, Anthony, Jazzmynn, Johnathan and Asha. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Always an independent woman, Janet lived and raised her daughters on Mississauga First Nation. She tirelessly and lovingly dedicated her time to her great-grandchildren, grandchildren and daughters. Gramma was never but a phone call away for a ride or help with the kids. She quietly devoted 15 years working as a councillor at the Mississauga First Nation Women’s shelter. Her love and support will be missed by everyone she has left behind. Baa Maa Pii, Mom – we love you.
Services will be held at the Mississauga Community Hall Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10:00 am.
