It is with heavy hearts the family announces his passing at the age of 67 after a lengthy and heroic battle with cancer.
Roddy was born and raised in Sudbury. Loving son of Doreen Murphy (late Mark). Sadly missed by brothers Jamie (Mary), Jerene (Shane) and Heather (Dean). Predeceased by siblings Kerry (Cory) and Kimberly (Jean).
Fondly remembered by aunts and uncles Gerald and Jean, Keith and Helen, Doris (late Larry) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Roddy graduated from Sault College, taking the forestry program; he worked for the MNR and MTO in Blind River where he resided.
He loved to walk his favorite trails and was an ardent nature lover.
As per Roddy’s wishes, cremation took place, there will be no visitation or service.
The family would like to thank nurse Summer for her dedication and compassion.
If desired, a donation could be made in Roddy’s memory to the Northeast Cancer Centre.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
