It is with heavy hearts, and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Senta, on July 22, 2022, in her 81st year.

Loving wife of Anton "Tony" Bogensberger (predeceased 2009). She will be deeply missed by her three sons, Horst (Nancy B.), Peter(Helen), and Paul.

Senta was born on Sept. 1, 1940, in Graz, Austria. She grew up in the small town of Mühlen, Austria. In January of 1960, she immigrated to Canada in order to marry her Schatzi "sweetheart" , Anton, in Manitouwadge, Ontario. Starting with little knowledge of the English language, she had the tough job of raising three boys, while living in Manitouwadge, Thunder Bay, and Elliot Lake.  We were so blessed to have grown up with the Austrian culture. Senta was the traditional European Homemaker. She loved to cook, and bake. Be it her goulashes, schnitzel, knödel soup, apfelstrudel, cakes, or Christmas cookies; we loved it all, and enjoyed every bite.

Senta loved her bingo, doing puzzles while listening to her favorite music, and watching her favorite soap, "The Young and Restless". ( One of the ways she learned her English in the 1960's, was watching soaps.)  While enjoying these activities, she was known to enjoy her glass of Busch Light with ginger ale. Senta always loved her outings with the Red Hats, and getting together with friends. She also enjoyed going for walks with her dog Buddy, and stopping to chat with neighbors and friends. She loved flowers, and was always happy when she was gardening.

Nanny will be greatly missed by all her grandchildren,  and great grandchildren. Know that Nanny loved you all so much.
Senta will be dearly missed by all her friends, and family here in Canada. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, and relatives in Österreich (Austria).
It gives us great comfort to know that she has been reunited with her Schatzi, our dad, Tony.  Wir lieben dich, Mutti. Bis wir uns wieder treffen, xoxo.

Senta's wishes were to be cremated, with no service.

Memorial contributions to S.A.D. (Society for Animals in Distress, Elliot Lake) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
