Anthony (Curly) Beauchamp passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 after a difficult battle with mesothelioma. He was born in Blind River, on January 27, 1935 to the late Pierre Beauchamp and Alice Beauchamp (née Bellefeuille) and as a sibling to the late Pierre (Buck), Margaret and Pam. He is survived by his sister Alice, his wife Corrine Beauchamp (née Laplante), his children Kathy Ball (Emile), Tony Beauchamp, Lisa Brisbois (Dave), Brian Beauchamp (Charissa), and Robert Beauchamp and is predeceased by his children Cindy, Wendy, Peter and Angel.
Curly was a true grampa who showed his absolute adoration for his grandchildren Melissa, Sarah, Sophie, Jessica, Joey, Alexander, Zach, Natalie, Max, and Otto, and his great grandchildren Mettao, Christiano, Gia, Teddy, Mckayla, Ryan, Archie, Emma, Roman, and Luca through his youthful exuberance and genuine interest.
Curly had many jobs throughout his life including working for McFadden Lumber Company as a dry-kiln operator, as a building contractor and ultimately retiring from the Director of Maintenance position at the hospital in Blind River. He loved to be outside hunting, fishing, trapping and puttering with friends and relatives and he loved to visit, continuously touching base with those who were important to him. Curly was able to carry a childish curiosity into old age and he never stopped learning. He was a man of tremendous focus and determination who taught his children that they could handle anything and solve any problem. His family will never forget all that he shared and helped them to learn. He will be truly missed.

His family would like to thank the community for the support, for the interest in Curly’s wellness and for the sincere expressions of condolences. Those wishing to, are encouraged to donate to a charity of their choice. There will be no ceremony at this time; however, there will be celebration of life when conditions improve.
