We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Glenn at the Algoma Manor at the age of 87. Will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Gail Barber (nee Beemer). Loving father of Kevin Barber (Marla), Karen McDougall (Chris) and Kelly Barber. Candy Grandpa to Ellen, Mack, Roy, Kassidy (Ethan) and Connor. Brother-in-law of Joyce McKay (Ian), Merlin Beemer, Lyman Beemer and Gene Beemer. Forever missed by his best fur buddy, Laker. Predeceased by his mother Jean, siblings Grant Barber and Norma Smith as well as brother-in-laws Oakley Beemer, Donald Beemer, Stan Beemer and Elwood Beemer.
Glenn was a hard-working man who could operate any piece of heavy equipment known. He started working outside the home at age 13 and continued up until his 80th year.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Light Haven Christian Home and Algoma Manor for their care and compassion.
As per Glenn’s wishes there will be no service. A private interment will be held at a later date.
