Construction work has begun on the Highway 108 sewer and water Improvements project in Elliot Lake. The work will include a new watermain and a new sanitary force main connecting Timber Road to Lakeview Road along Highway 108, including repaving of the roadway surfaces where crossings occur, a news release says.
The intent this fall is to complete as much off-roadway works as possible prior to a winter shutdown, with carry over into 2024 for completion.
During construction, sections of Timber and Lakeview may be closed to vehicular traffic for short durations. Highway 108 will also be impacted with single lane closures during works along the highway shoulder and at crossing locations.
