Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake

Winter weather travel advisory in effect.

Hazard:
Snow, with total local amounts of 10 to 15 cm.

Timing:
Snow continuing into this evening before tapering off.

Discussion:
Snow may quickly accumulate and visibility may be reduced at times today. Northern portions of the region are more likely to see snowfall totals in the 10 to 15 cm range. Southern portions of the region may receive more wet snow and rain mixing in, reducing snowfall accumulations.

Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
