Winter storm warning in effect for:
- Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
Significant snowfall continuing through Wednesday morning.
Hazards:
Additional snowfall amounts of up to 10 cm.
Reduced visibility due to heavy snow and blowing snow.
Timing:
Now into Wednesday morning.
Discussion:
The heaviest snow is expected this evening.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
