After working in an existing Elliot Lake clinic for about a year, a man and woman team of dentists has decided to put down roots and set up their own clinic here.

Now that their business arrangement has ended with Hillside Clinic, Dr. Kaveh Mirsaeidi and his wife Dr. Svitlana Mirsaeidi, who reside in Elliot Lake, are both practicing dentists. They have been working for the Hillside Dental Clinic for the past year;  however, that arrangement has come to an end.

The Mirsaeidi's told ElliotLakeToday, "We have grown to love this community and have decided to make it our home. To that end, we are opening our own dental practice in town over the next couple of months. We have developed relationships with many patients over the last year and, now that we are no longer with the Hillside Clinic, we want to clarify that we are here to stay and our practice will be opening soon."

The new practice, Soleil Dental Centre, will be located in the Scotiabank Plaza where the Wine & Brew store was at 2 Brunswick Walk.

Soleil Dental Centre will be a state-of-the-art clinic. offering all aspects of dentistry and accepting all insurance plans (including government plans).

The building will be undergoing significant renovations to make it a safe and clean environment to today’s standards. The Mirsaiedis note this is especially important considering the recent COVID pandemic. It will also be fully wheelchair accessible with large operatories, hallways, and patient chairs.

The Mirsaeidis have had extensive dental education at Universities of Toronto and Alberta as well as various private training institutions. They are experienced in all aspects of dentistry and believers in elimination of patient pain and anxiety via various levels of sedation and profound freezing (gas, sedative medication, etc.), especially useful for pediatric patients.

Those with dentures will have same-day denture repairs and modifications.

Svitlana and Kaveh Mirsaeidi moved from downtown Toronto to Sault Ste. Marie in 2018 with the vision to get away from the concrete and raise a family somewhere in the peaceful nature of the North. In 2019, in addition to SSM, they started serving clients in Elliot Lake. After driving back and forth between SSM and Elliot Lake for several months, they eventually moved here to practice full-time at Hillside Dental Clinic.

They tell us they are captivated by the community; and now they have decided to make Elliot Lake their permanent family home.

Soleil Dental Centre’s phone lines, as well as a website with live chat functionality, have already been activated. The Mirsaeidis can be reached anytime at 1-888-366-2360.
