Two new COVID cases in Algoma: APH

Both people are self-isolating

Algoma Public Health is reporting two new COVID-19 cases in the Algoma region.

One case is from the Sault Ste. Marie area, while the other is from Central and East Algoma.

This brings the total number of COVID cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 205.

Both case No. 204, tested on March 12, and 205, tested on March 10, are from unknown exposure. 

Unknown exposure means the individual did not have any recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case.

Both are currently self-isolating. 

Algoma regions with COVID-19 cases reported in the past 14 days include:

  • Central and East Algoma
  • Elliot Lake and area
  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
