Three employees at Chelmsford McDonald’s test positive for COVID-19

Anyone who visited the McDonald’s restaurant in Chelmsford on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1 should take direction from Ontario Health Services, the corporation has said, after three employees reported they tested positive for COVID-19.

McDonald’s Canada said in a news release that on Nov. 5, three employees from the Chelmsford McDonalds reported testing positive. The store was closed immediately for a thorough cleaning and sanitization by a certified third-party.

The restaurant reopened today.

“We are working to ensure we reopen safely, and we are committed to doing our part to help our communities,” said the news release.

An employee at the restaurant said this morning it is now open following a thorough cleaning.

All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employees have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available. 

For any guests who may have visited the restaurant on Oct. 30, 31 or Nov. l, please take directions from the experts at Ontario Health Services by visiting their website.

“We continue to work with local health authorities to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community as soon as we can,” said the news release.
