Sudbury district wildfire remains active at 0.1 hectares

No new wildfire have been reported by late afternoon

Chapleau 8, a 0.1-hectare wildfire that was confirmed on June 18, remains active in the northeast region, the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry said in today's release.

The fire ignited in the Sudbury district approximately 123 km away from Timmins next to Foleyet Timber Rd, 200 metres south of Cornice Lake and 200 metres northwest of Elongate Lake. It is currently under control. 

No new wildfire have been reported by late afternoon.
