Students at École Saint-Joseph and École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord teamed up to spread the Christmas spirit during the Blind River Santa Claus Parade held in the city street on Nov. 17.

As part of their community involvement, the students, with the support of the school staff, put a lot of effort into designing, building and decorating a stunning float for each school and enthusiastically took part in the parade.

During the parade, members of the musical group La Volée du Nord from ÉSC Jeunesse-Nord took great pleasure in playing Christmas songs to spread the Christmas spirit. In addition, the students were delighted to parade through the streets of the town with school staff and parents, and to take part in this wonderful tradition.

Witnessing the joy of the public who came to watch the parade was a reward in itself. With many Christmas activities planned at both school over the next upcoming weeks, the students will be perfectly prepared to celebrate this important day with their families and friends.
