Jody Wildman is seeking his seventh term as mayor of the township of St. Joseph in this year's municipal election.

The mayor of  the Township of St. Joseph is seeking a seventh term in office.

Jody Wildman has announced his intention to run for mayor in the upcoming municipal election.

“I enjoy working with our excellent staff, council members and volunteers to make our community an attractive place for people of all ages to live, raise a family, or run a business,” said Wildman in a press release. “I am looking forward to continuing as mayor to work on ongoing and new initiatives and projects for the next four years.”

He has served on the township's council since 2000, and first became mayor in 2003.

He says that advocating for the community and the services it needs from municipal government and other levels will be a focus.

“Experience and being willing to work with others is important, not only in setting the tone for a well-functioning Council and administration, but also in advocating for our community.”

The municipal election will take place across Ontario on Oct. 24.
