The swimming advisory at Spine Beach has been lifted, effective today, says the City of Elliot Lake.
Algoma Public Health lifted the advisory when test results of the water returned to normal.
Spine Beach was placed under a swimming advisory when samples taken on July 11 returned evidence of higher than safe levels of bacteria in the water.
Swimming in water with high levels of bacteria can cause skin, eye, nose and throat infections, as well as stomach illness if water is swallowed.
