Six days of events planned to celebrate Public Library Week

As part of Ontario Public Library Week, the Elliot Lake Public Library is hosting a week of events to celebrate starting on Oct. 16 and ending on Oct. 21. Here is a list of scheduled events beginning on Monday:

Monday, Oct. 16

Set sail with Aubrey and Judy Millard as they revisit their sailing journey from the Great Lakes to the Mediterranean on their Ontario 32 sailboat. This event is a drop-in event during the library’s business hours.

Tuesday, Oct. 17

Tech Tuesday - 2 until 4 p.m

If you or someone you know has trouble downloading eBooks onto your eReader, come into the library for help. Your tablet or eReader is required. Registration is required for this event.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

Morning storytime - 10:30 until 11 a.m

This event is best suited for children aged five and under to come sing and dance with their parents/caregivers. This is a drop-in event.

Thursday, Oct. 19

Movie time - The Ottoman Lieutenant

This is a drop-in event with limited seats, therefore a first come, first served basis.

Friday, Oct. 20

Teen Lounge - 4 until 6 p.m

This event is for teens to come together and play video games, meet friends, hang out and even do a DIY project and is a drop-in event.

Saturday, Oct. 21

RC flying model exhibit - 10 a.m until 4 p.m

This drop-in event is for all ages. You will learn the craft of building and flying a model plane and is partnered with the North Shore R/C Modelers.
