Science North draws young crowd

The show will remain open until 4 p.m. Sunday and admission is free

Elliot Lake’s Winterfest events drew a large, younger crowd with Sunday’s presentation and exhibits by Science North at the Collins Hall.

The Science North exhibits ranged from creative building blocks put together by youngsters, the reasons bee populations should be protected, a display on the mining industry, a display about natural curiosity that featured skulls from different animals, and stage shows dealing with a number of topics including gravity and how it works.

The event was a true learning experience for the children and their parents.

The show will remain open until 4 p.m. and admission is free.
