The weather is perfect and so are the ribs coming off the grills at Blind River’s Rib Fest today.
Set up at the town park, the day features barbecue ribs cooked by seven teams where for $2.50 people can purchase a portion of ribs for tasting and then vote on the team they deem has mastered the art of cooking. Also for sale was pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs if ribs weren’t top of your list.
A popular spot at noon today was the bouncy castle where kids lined up to get a bit of fun exercise. There were also ball games going on along with music and instruments for the youngsters to hammer out some notes.
Vendors had their various creations set up for sales.
There is also a beer garden for those wanting to sit and take a break in the hot weather.
Rib Fest will wrap up this evening at 1 a.m.
