Blind River is hosting two public information sessions today, July 9, at the community centre.
It is the second time this year the town has hosted open meetings to inform the public about what council is doing. Mayor Sally Hagman vowed to host the sessions when running for mayor in last year’s municipal election.
“The Town of Blind River Public Information Session will be taking place at the Community Centre Tuesday July 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. with the same session taking place tomorrow night evening from 7 – 9 p.m.,” the mayor said in her address to council Monday evening. “Topics to be presented include an update on our Strategic Economic Development Plan, a presentation on our Service Delivery Review, a Facilities Review and Update and Financial Update and a demonstration on how to use a defibrillator.”
Those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions or offer advice to council members and staff who will be attending.
