Ontario Parks campsites were hard to come by this year and the demand is expected to continue in 2022.
So far in 2021, 798,000 Ontario Parks reservations have been processed, that's up 13 per cent over 2020 when there were 706,000 reservations, said Gary Wheeler, Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks spokesperson.
"Ontario Parks is anticipating the demand for campsites to continue as we head into 2022 and we're currently looking at new ways to help our customers secure reservations with the growing demand. We’ll have more to say in the new year," he said.
Ontario Parks bookings open up five months in advance of your trip's start date. The reservation system opens at 7 a.m.
