The City of Elliot Lake will welcome the Paramedic Memorial Bell on Tuesday morning (Aug. 11) at 10 a.m. at the Miner's Memorial adjacent to Horne Lake off Highway 108.

In lieu of the annual Paramedic Tour which normally takes place throughout Ontario each year, this year, Ontario's paramedics are holding their Bell Tour 2020 as they tour their Memorial Bell through each community in the province where paramedics provide their services.

Everyone is invited to attend the observance, subject to mask-wearing, social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols.

The organizing committee notes the observance is, "Designed to get us to think of the paramedics who have fallen in the line of duty, to those serving who have suffered in silence and had their lives taken and to give our respects to them and their families."

All pictures and videos of the Paramedic Bell observance should be emailed to [email protected].
