Ontario reports 209 new COVID-19 cases Saturday

Public Health Ontario has reported 209 new COVID-19 cases in today's report (July 3). 

The July 3 update includes nine deaths, and 262 recoveries. 

Saturday's update provided by the province's public health agency also reported the following data:

  • 206 COVID-positive people are currently hospitalized in Ontario, up from 179 on Friday. 
  • There are 243 patients in intensive care units with COVID-related illness (of those, 60 no longer test positive for COVID-19).
  • 165 people are on ventilators due to COVID-related illness (of those, 34 no longer test positive for COVID-19).
  • The province reported 17,080 tests were processed yesterday

Vaccines

  • There were 210,504 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 administered yesterday.
  • 15,365,003 doses of vaccine have been administered.
  • 5,377,506 people have been fully vaccinated

Public Health Ontario has confirmed 545,590 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 534,272 recoveries and 9,205 deaths.
