Algoma Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19, from the Sault Ste. Marie area.
The health unit says the positive case is currently self-isolating, and was exposed to the virus by close contact with another positive case.
This is the 320th case reported by APH since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, there are 35 active cases and four temporarily in the area from outside the Algoma region.
As of today, there are two people hospitalized with the virus.
