No new fires in the northeast region

No new wildfires have been confirmed as of this afternoon, the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry said in a release today.

There are two active wildland fires in the Northeast Region, one is being held, and one is under control.

The fire hazard is low to moderate in the southern part of the region, from Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury to Georgian Bay and Pembroke. The fire hazard is moderate to high from Temiskaming Shores up to the Far North.
