Nine-year-old Mila Major recently scored a hole-in-one at Forest Ridge Golf and Country Club in Chelmsford.

Nine-year-old Mila Major of Sudbury is enjoying some moments of fame at Forest Ridge Golf and Country Club in Chelmsford these days, thanks to a recent golf outing with her dad Darryl Major and her brother, Kaden Major.

Mila was able to score a hole-in-one on the 17th hole, a 145-yard Par-3 link.

An email from her mom, Andrée Major, said young Mila is new to the golf game and recently acquired a membership at Forest Ridge, just to be able to hit the course with dad and brother.

July 7 was her fifth round on the course and she was especially pleased on hole 16 where she got on the green in two strokes. Hole 16 is a Par-4.

At that point, said her mom, Mila bragged to her Dad "Next hole, I am going to get on the green after one shot and I think I will get a hole in one!"

Teeing off from hole 17, Mila smacked her yellow ball, watched it land on the green, bounce twice and then disappear. Her father believed the ball rolled off on the far side of the green. Brother Kaden thought differently. He ran to the green, looked in the cup and there was the yellow ball.

That's when everyone began screaming and hollering in celebration, her mom wrote in the email.

“I believe she's the youngest player to get a hole in one at the Forest Ridge Golf & Country Club,” her mom said in the email.
