NEWS RELEASE
CITY OF ELLIOT LAKE
*************************
Following provincial orders for a renewed lockdown, the City of Elliot Lake has cancelled all recreation programs from Dec. 26 to Jan. 10.

More specifically keep in mind:

  • All programs at the municipal pool, arena and the Collins Hall walking program are cancelled during the lockdown period.
  • Transit services will be maintained throughout (other than typical holiday closures).
  • The Age Friendly Delivers grocery program is being maintained but deliveries will be on a planned pause over the Holidays from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4
  • Library services remain open for curbside only during the lockdown period.
  • Christmas dinner deliveries will continue as planned (the service is curbside delivery only for those who have already booked the meal)

Residents are encouraged to refrain from non-essential trips and follow public health guidelines by cancelling any non-household visits from family members during the holidays.

Regional travel/non household visits is a serious threat to Elliot Lake’s health and safety. Please do your part to flatten the curve and maintain Elliot Lake’s green status.
