New trial dates are being canvassed in the fraud case against Ecolife Home Improvement owner David Murray.

The trial was scheduled to resume next week for three days, but those dates have been vacated and new dates will be discussed and confirmed on May 12. There was no reason given in court on Wednesday as to why the dates have been vacated.

The fraud trial has already gone on for 15 days, with five days left scheduled. Dozens of witnesses have taken the stand, each detailing their interactions with Murray and his business, Ecolife Home Improvements. Each witness told the court they have lost a substantial amount of money waiting for work to be done, work that has yet to be done even now.

Murray faces 45 counts of fraud. He is being represented by Elliot Lake defence lawyer Antoine-Rene Fabris and there are almost 40 witnesses in the case.
