Lumberjack Days are this weekend at Mississaugi Park

Lumberjack Days are on this weekend at beautiful Mississaugi Park!

Festivities begin with a BBQ at noon on Saturday. Kids and adult events are scheduled for Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.

Events for kids include face painting, a nail drive, colouring contest, axe throw, duck race, noodle toss, and a trapper’s challenge.

For adults: canoe race, log birling, log toss, adult axe throw, two-person cross cut, underhand cut, chain saw obstacle course, chainsaw event and modified saw.

Some team and adult competition events require registration. See the schedule for event times and contact information.

Mississaugi Park is a 20-minute drive north of the City of Elliot Lake. A free round-trip shuttle bus will run from the Centennial Arena. See the schedule for shuttle bus times.

Good weather is forecast for the weekend and event spokesperson, Sarah Daigle told ElliotLakeToday, “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone!”
