Lots to see and do at Uranium Heritage Days (18 photos)

Fireworks happen tonight at dusk

The sun shone beautifully providing the best weekend weather of the year so far for Elliot Lake's annual Uranium Heritage Days.

The first two days of events ranged from the Rotary Club BBQ and beer event outside Collins Hall on Saturday, to the outdoor car show, plenty of yard sales and the parade. Visitors also enjoyed the evening street dance featuring four different groups Saturday night and the Stage Door Players presenting Another Open, Another Show Sunday night. Also included were the SAD outdoor BBQ at Westview Park, the Moose Family Centre Beer Garden, the Algoma Paddlers Canoe and Kayak Club providing rides in a 36-foot Montreal canoe at Spine Beach, and much more. Fireworks begin tonight at dusk at Westview Park.

Monday, Canada Day, is also packed with festival events. See the City of Elliot Lake's website for full details.
