Locals welcome return of Fall Wellness (7 photos)

The event features vendors who provide emergency and life-improving services in the area

The annual Wellness Fair in Elliot Lake was on again this year after a one-year hiatus. The event was last held in 2019 but cancelled last year because of COVID restrictions.

Those attending looked talked with a number of vendors who provide different emergency services in the community and life-improving services.

Among them was OPP Constable Phil Young who talked about services available from the force in the community and area.

The local Red Cross was also on hand to talk about services it provides during emergency situations. Recently local Red Cross personnel were involved in assisting victims flown to Sudbury during flooding in northern Indigenous communities and used the event also to recruit new members.

The day saw a steady stream of visitors.

The fall wellness fair is an annual event held at the Collins Hall in the community and is hosted by the city.
