Residents in and around the northern town of Latchford are being advised to secure their residence and shelter in place as the OPP search for an armed and dangerous suspect.
Temiskaming OPP say they are on the scene of an investigation in the area of Highway 11 and Portage Bay Road in Latchford, police said on social media.
The road is north of the community between Latchford and Temiskaming Shores, approximately 150 km north of North Bay.
The investigation involves a suspect who is believed to be armed and dangerous. He is described as Middle Eastern, about 30 years old and dressed in black.
If you see the suspect, please say not to approach and to call 911.
Residents are being advised to secure their residence and shelter in place.
