Elliot Lake’s St. Joseph’s General Hospital’s cafeteria will be closed for more than two months during renovations.

Tim White, the hospital’s director of facilities management, said the cafeteria will be closed to the public from January 6 to March 16 to allow renovations to be done.

“During the closure, we encourage all to obtain beverages (hot and cold) and food from the gift shop,” White told Elliot Lake Today. “The vending machine will be temporarily located outside the cafeteria’s main entrance for the duration of the project.”

The closure is part of the hospital’s infrastructure remediation work, he acknowledged expressing thanks for the public’s continued support of the facility.
