10 a.m. update:
OPP reports that a 78-year-old White River resident was was pronounced deceased at the crash scene near Webbwood this morning.
The collision, which involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle, occurred shortly after midnight.
Highway 17 between Webbwood and Espanola has since reopened as the investigation continues.
No other injuries were reported in this incident.

Highway 17 is closed in both directions from Webbwood to Espanola due to a collision, the MTO reports via Twitter.
The closure was reported at 1:19 a.m. Friday.
There are detours in place. Light traffic can detour via Old Webbwood Road. Heavy traffic can take Lee Valley Road.
