The Claire Dimock Children’s Centre, located at 12 Westhill Rd., is hosting a boomerang sale on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m until 2 p.m.

This sale is also a fundraising event for the daycare centre as well as an opportunity for parents to clear out their children’s unused items.

Children’s centre employee Kelly Nebreda said this is the perfect opportunity for parents to raise a little extra spending money before the holiday shopping begins.

“It’s a fundraiser for the daycare as well as an opportunity for parents to declutter their children’s items and earn some extra holiday spending money,” she explained.

The admission is $2 for adults and the proceeds from the admissions, as well as the table rental fees, will go towards the daycare centre.

During the sale, a hot dog stand will be taking orders from hungry shoppers as well as a bake sale. Proceeds from these sales will also benefit the daycare center.

To be a part of the boomerang sale, interested residents can rent a table for $15-25, depending on the table size needed. More tables are still needed to be rented, according to Nebreda.

“We’re still looking for a few more sellers for this sale,” she said. “We’ll also be doing the sale again in the spring. (The Spring sale) was a big hit with the warmer weather.”
