NEWS RELEASE
HARVEST KITCHEN
*************************
The Harvest Kitchen program will be celebrating its grand opening on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.

This 26-week food security program has been created and established by three local non-profit agencies that are committed to helping the vulnerable population of our community.

Meals will be served from the Elliot Lake Royal Canadian Legion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We invite anyone that is hungry and needs a healthy meal to join us. One hundred meals will be prepared on our operating days and offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Everyone is welcome. There are no special criteria to access our program. The Harvest Kitchen is also family-friendly and fully accessible.

We will be offering both a dine-in and takeout option. No delivery option is available at this time.

Meals will be provided for free or for a ‘pay what you can’ financial donation. We will also accept any non-perishable food item or new, packaged personal hygiene products as a donation towards a meal.

We want to thank the entire community, our volunteers and Ecclesiastical Insurance for their support in making this food security initiative possible.
