ElliotLakeToday has received the following note and pictures from École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River as they share their Christmas spirit with our readers.
Students at École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River) have a well-earned reputation for their school spirit and their community contributions.
Before starting their Christmas break, students participated in a variety of fun and diverse activities and theme days allowing them to display their creativity.
Activities on the menu included a human gift-wrap competition, a gingerbread house building contest as well as a school virtual Christmas concert.
Wanting to give back to the Blind River community, students collected no less than 500 food items for the community food bank and distributed candy-canes with a special Christmas message (canne-o-grammes) to neighbouring homes.
Jeunesse-Nord students took advantage of the last days before the Christmas break to recharge their batteries and start the festive season on the right foot.
