Georges Bilodeau unseated as mayor of Huron Shores

Three councillors return and three new councillors will take their place in council chambers

Results for the 2022 municipal election in Huron Shores are in and Mathew Seabrook, with 702 votes is the new mayor after defeating Georges Bilodeau who finished with 116 votes.

Three incumbents return to office as councillors and three new councillors will be taking a seat at the council table.

Incumbents Blair MacKinnon won his race for Wards 1 and 2 with 245 votes while incumbent Jane Armstrong was acclaimed to 3 and 4 and Jock Pirrie was acclaimed to Ward 4.

Roger Mulligan was newly elected to council to represent Ward 1 with 226 votes. Peter Falk was newly elected to Ward 2 with 212 votes and Tim Currie was newly elected to Ward 3 with 129 votes.

Incumbents Dale Wedgwood, Darlene Walsh and David Ratz were defeated as was challenger Eloise (Boe) Eldner.

These are unofficial results that have yet to be confirmed.
