Freezing rain warning in effect for:
- Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
What: freezing rain with a glaze to a couple of millimeters accretion.
When: this evening.
Where: Chapleau and northern portions of Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake.
Hazard: Difficult travel conditions due to slippery roads
Discussion: Light snow or ice pellets will transition over to freezing rain this evening. The freezing rain risk is expected to end near midnight before changing over to light rain or drizzle.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
