Free yoga for women and gender diverse people made possible by grant

The Trifecta Experience, is one of 90 organizations across Ontario to receive a 2023 Next Play grant, a news release said.

This grant opportunity was made possible by Canadian Women and Sport with funding from the Government of Ontario. The grant focuses on engaging women and gender-diverse persons in sport and active recreation. 

The Trifecta Experience will be offering a free six-week yoga program with the funds from the grant. There are five class options to choose from:

  • Seniors/Mobility Issues
  • Pre-Teen/Teen
  • Adult Hatha Yoga
  • Cosmic Kids - Spanish
  • Cosmic Kids - Elliot Lake

The main program will take place at the Spanish Royal Canadian Legion which has donated their space in order to facilitate this free yoga program. La Cloche Mountain Yoga and Wellness will be the certified instructors for the adult and teen program located in Spanish. 

The two children's sessions will be led by a registered child and youth worker who is an also a certified Cosmic Kids instructor. In Elliot Lake, this free program will be offered at the Elliot Lake Child and Family Centre, who has also partnered with us and donated their space to offer this amazing opportunity for children.  

All supplies and equipment will be provided for participants. Registration is currently open and classes will begin the week of May 16.
