Five new cases of COVID confirmed: APH

Algoma Public Health has confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 in the district.

All are from the Sault area, APH says, and are self-isolating.

According to the health unit, all were exposed to the virus by close contact.

These new cases push Algoma's confirmed case count since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic past the 300 mark.

To date, there have been 304 confirmed cases of the virus, 45 of which are currently active. Three people are currently hospitalized.
