Elliot Lake Secondary School principal honoured with 2019 civic volunteer award

Elliot Lake Secondary School Principal Rick Juuti was honoured as the recipient of the city's Civic Award Thursday night at Elliot Lake's Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet, held at Collins Hall.

Juuti was honoured for his volunteer work with the Elliot Lake Aquatic Club and his mentorship role for young people.

He was presented with the Volunteer Award by Elliot Lake Mayor Dan Marchisella. 

Master of Ceremonies for the banquet was Elliot Lake Councillor, Sandy Finamore.

Also in attendance were Councillors Ed Pearce, Chris Patrie and Tom Turner, along with MPP Mike Mantha (Algoma-Manitoulin) and MP Carol Hughes (Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing)
