On Monday, the City of Elliot Lake announced that a new doctor has joined the Family Health Team. The following was posted to a city social media page:
The Elliot Lake Physician Recruitment Committee, the Elliot Lake Family Health Team, and St. Joseph’s General Hospital are delighted to announce Dr. Sandy Adamson will be practicing Family Medicine in Elliot Lake. Dr. Adamson has been seeing patients since February and is taking over a practice at the Elliot Lake Family Health Team.
Dr. Adamson is no stranger to Elliot Lake – she has worked as a locum with the Family Health Team in the past and now relocates here from Bracebridge, Ontario where she practiced for many years. Dr. Adamson will also assist locally with prenatal visits and on-call obstetrics.
We are very happy to officially welcome Dr. Adamson to the community on Doctor’s Day. The patients at the Elliot Lake Family Health Team and St. Joseph’s General Hospital will benefit greatly from her experience and she is a welcome addition to our medical staff.
