Elliot Lake’s economic development manager Steve Artunes has been appointed to serve on the Mississagi Park Foundation.
The appointment was approved Monday by council to fill in for the departure of former CAO and representative Daniel Gagnon. City Councillor Mel Seidel also represents the board on the foundation.
The board is comprised of representatives from the city, Mississauga First Nation (MFN) and Serpent River First Nation (SRFN) following the announcement of a joint agreement for its operation in late spring.
Three city staffers have been working with the foundation to fill in the gap from Gagnon’s departure including Artunes who agreed to being appointed at council’s Monday evening regular meeting.
