The Elliot Lake Wildcats of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League have arranged for a no-cost bus service to the Blind River Community Centre Arena for their playoff series against the Blind River Beavers.

The Wildcats' home rink will not be able to accommodate the series since the roof of municipally-owned Centennial Arena will be among the last of Elliot Lake's city-owned buildings to receive mandatory roof clearing in the wake of last month's partial roof collapse at the Lester B. Pearson Community Centre on Highway 108.

For the first game on Friday, March 8, you can ride the bus that picks up in the Elliot Lake Secondary School parking lot off Mississauga at 5:30 p.m. The bus leaves Elliot Lake at 5:45 p.m. sharp and will arrive in Blind River at 6:30 p.m.

The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. in game one of the best-of-3 affair.

For Sunday afternoon's game two, the bus leaves the high school parking lot at 12:45 p.m. The puck drops at 2:00 p.m.

If game three is needed Monday night, it will be the same time schedule as Friday night.

Bus service is free, but seating is limited on a first come, first served basis.

In the regular season, Blind River had a record of 25-23-5 for 57 points.

The Wildcats went 21-32-1 for 45 points.

The winner of the Elliot Lake, Blind River playoff series meets the Soo Thunderbirds in an NOJHL best-of-7 West Division semifinal.
