Blind River’s Timber Village Museum and art gallery is hosting its second annual holiday market with products from over 20 local craft makers. All products are handmade or hand-designed by people in Northeastern Ontario.

The market opens today Dec. 1 and will run until Dec. 18.

Instead of an admission price, the museum will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items on behalf of the Blind River Food Bank and monetary donations for the Blind River Food Basket program.

Shoppers will receive a raffle ticket for a door prize in exchange for each non-perishable item donated. The raffle draw will be held at 12 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Donations are not required to enter the market but would be a great way to give back during the holiday season, says museum staff.

To comply with COVID health measures, the gallery capacity will be a maximum of eight shoppers at a time.

Vendors will not be onsite during the event; however, museum staff will be able to assist shoppers with their purchases. Cash, debit, and credit are accepted, though customers are encouraged to consider paying with tap whenever possible. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect.

The market is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Timber Village Museum is located at the Blind River marina.

For more information go to the TVM Facebook event page to find vendor announcements.
