Olivia Folz, a grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River), has made a name for herself throughout high school thanks to her many artistic talents. Since grade 9, she has played an integral role in the school musical group “La Volée du Nord.” As a guitarist, singer and music composer, Olivia has displayed and shared a wide range of talents. She was also part of the Jeunesse-Nord volleyball and basketball teams throughout her high school years.
In 2022, Olivia had the chance to partake in a recording workshop with Franco-Ontarian artist Jean-Guy “Chuck” Labelle. During this project, Olivia and the other members of "La Volée du Nord" composed and recorded an original song entitled Illusion and produced a music video. During the school and community music performances, this student took on the role of emcee because of her ability to engage the crowd.
