Blind River school holds United Against Hunger campaign

The school filled 30 boxes with food while also collecting nearly $100 in donations

On Thursday, Oct. 27, the École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River) school community united its efforts during its “United Against Hunger” annual food collection.

As part of this annual food drive spearheaded by the school’s Jeunesse-Action (Youth Action) committee, which was held for the fifth time, students and teachers went door-to-door in the community to collect non-perishable food items and donations to support the Blind River Food Bank.

No less than 30 boxes overflowing with food items and $95 in donations were collected and will be presented to their community partner.
